A narrator (voiced by Allen) relays radio related stories from his youth, mixing them with legends about the presenters, actors, and ventriloquists (!) that so thrilled him, in this gorgeously shot, shamelessly nostalgic, and near enough plotless paean to the glory days of American radio, providing us with a delicate, warm, and frequently hilarious portrait of a middle-aged man’s rose-tinted childhood memories.
