A senior at an elite boarding school finds, with the help of two younger boys, a beautiful, unconscious woman in a field, and decides to take her back to his room; and, after she proves reluctant to seek medical help or to return home, they journey into the night together, ostensibly in search of her missing horse, in Cochran’s much maligned, production troubled film, which is either a complete and utter mess or some sort of misunderstood minor masterpiece, in which absolutely nothing makes sense (particularly all of the characters’ actions and reactions), but in an (intentionally?) unnerving, discomforting way rather than an incompetent way (I think).
