In this riotous, perfectly acted farce, Veta and Myrtle Mae Simmons, whose social life is in tatters due to the ever presence of their delusional brother/uncle Elwood P. Dowd, who spends his afternoons in the town’s bars introducing his 6’3½” rabbit friend Harvey to any and everyone, decide to have him committed – a task which is easier said than done when you’re more than a little nutty yourself.
